Padley farm is situated in the village of Dungworth in the countryside 5 miles from the center of Sheffield. Access to Dungwoth is from Loxley via a steep hill, Briers House Lane, or from Stannington down a steep hill, Cliff House Road, then a gradual slope down Dungworth Green past Bradfield/Dungworth primary school and Padley farm is on the left. There are 7 bedrooms 2 of which are on the ground floor and are suitable for people with access needs.
The distance to Padley Farm from the railway at Pond street Sheffield is 7.8 miles (25 minutes by car) and can be accessed via a bus or tram to Hillsborough interchange then a bus ( 2 routes
every hour) to the village, No 61 or 62 which will take visitors to within 100 metres of Padley Farm Bed and Breakfast.
Taxi services are readily available and have a knowledge of the bed and breakfast. The footpath and roads leading to Padley farm are smooth and even, having recently been resurfaced. The yard area of Padley Farm is tarmacked and on a level to the entrance hall.

Parking on site has spaces for 14 vehicles and is 15 metres to the entrance. This is level tarmac leading to an undercover paved area. Lighting from the building is dusk till dawn and does not reflect on the natural skyline. There are no steps to the doors. Door openings are a minimum of 840mm wide. It is the visitors responsibility to handle their own luggage.
Visitors check into Padley Farm in the dining room area, which is level to the entrance hall, where seating is available. Visitors are given information regarding fire safety and location of surrounding amenities. There are also information leaflets for attractions in the surrounding area.
Wifi is freely available in the main building.
Room 1 has a king size bed and 1 single bed, this room is on a level to the car park and dining room. There are 4 wall lights and an emergency call system in the room and en suite area, the floor is under-floor heated with solid hardwood flooring, non-allergenic continental quilt bedding and a free view TV with remote control and hostess tray. There is also an easy chair and dressing table.
Pets are allowed under supervision and by discussion with the manager.
The Shower room has Non-slip flooring and an easy access shower with grab rails.
Room 2 is situated next to room 1 and boasts all the same amenities but has 1 king size bed and 2 single beds, a standard shower and does not have the emergency call system in place.
Room 3 has a king size bed and 2 single beds. Rooms 4,5,6,7 all have a king size bed.
All areas have under-floor heating and wooden floors, with wardrobe, chair, dressing table, mirror and en-suite shower rooms and wifi.
The dining room is on the ground floor on a level to the entrance hall and car park, the door opening is wide enough for walking frames, wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is a child’s high seat available. Tables are set out giving ample space to manoeuver around in a busy environment and some of the chairs have arms.
The self-service breakfast bar is available for those requiring breakfast before 8am. This consists of a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and continental breakfast foods. Visitors should notify us prior to arrival of any special dietary needs so that we can make arrangements for them. There is a toilet located just outside the dining room in the entrance hall.
The garden is accessible through the entrance hall and is available for guest use providing the chickens are not fed any scraps or frightened. Pets should be kept on a lead in this area due to our free roaming chickens. The garden is uneven and sloping ground.
